The Holy Car

I've been doing a lot of driving lately for school. I have one class a week in Harriman which is about 45 minutes away. When I signed up for the class, I really wasn't looking forward to a lot of driving. (I've been spoiled with a 10 minute commute until now.) Now, I have a different opinion about the long drives. I look forward to them now! My commute to class has become such a wonderful time for me to spend with my Jesus. I'll usually listen to some music and worship. But, today especially, God visited my little car. I don't know what it is about being in my car, it's become kind of like a prayer closet to me. Thank you, God, for teaching me that I can be with you anywhere at any time. It's so comforting to know that there is nowhere on this planet that's too far out of God's reach. I'm so blessed to have a Daddy like Him. :)

Barack Obama

I will not write very much about this, but I feel like I need to write a little bit about what I am thinking. I do not agree with Barack Obama or with the Democratic party. I simply cannot agree with a person or a party that would continue to allow abortion to be legal in America. I am not excited about our new President or our new government, but I remember who is ultimately in control. Last night I was thinking about the inaguration and I was feeling a little uneasy. God reminded me that no one, not a king or a politician, can do a thing without God allowing him to do it. I take comfort in knowing that God can do mighty things, even through a man such as Obama. I will pray for our President and our government. Please pray with me.

Well today is just lovely. Snow is everywhere. It couldn't be more perfect! So, naturally, Andrew and I decided to have a winter photo shoot in the front yard. Hope you like our pictures!

Decorating Bug

I have been bitten. Lately, I find myself daydreaming about all the ways I would totally redecorate each room I'm in. Right now I am in the process of redecorating my room. I found a beautiful quilt at Cracker Barrel and that's been my jumping off point. Fascinating, right? I know. Anyway, I'll be posting pictures later to share my progress.

Busy Day

I really love busy days...sometimes. Today was one of those days, it was the first day of school for this semester at Roane State. (Why on earth did they decide to start classes on a Thursday?!) I'm only taking 3 classes this semester, 1 of which is an online class. I'm sooooo excited to have a lighter semester this time! Anyway, today was Anatomy and Physiology 2 lecture. My teacher's name is Carolyn Roberson. I've had her for 4 semesters now. She cracks me up! Every day she paints her fingernails AND toenails to match her outfit. (Today she painted them a bright kelly green.) She has over 200 different colors of nail polish!! Anyway, I was so sleepy in her class today...they had the heater on and she turns the lights down for her powerpoint slides....it was way too comfy in there. Now I'm snuggled up in my sweats here at the house. I just put two crabmeat quiches in the oven for dinner...they're my favorite! The Office comes on tonight!! What will happen between Dwight and Andy??

The Girl

So, after reading the Nester's blog, I was inspired to start my own personal blog. I hope to share with all of my wonderful friends and family a little glimpse into my life. Some pictures at work, maybe?? Anyway, let's see what I can come up with. :-)
